RETRO GAMES: UNCHARTED Drake's Fortune (Part 1)

UNCHARTED (MOVIE) is an upcoming American ACTION ADVENTURE film directed by Ruben Fleischer and screenplay by Rafe Judkins, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, with a story by Judkins.

Serving as an origin story and prequel to the video games of the same name created by Naughty Dog, the film stars TOM HOLLAND (Spiderman) as Nathan Drake, and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Victor Sullivan, along with Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle, and Antonio Banderas in supporting roles.

"Uncharted Drake's Fortune" on PLAYSTATION NOW (PSNOW)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a 2007 action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the first game in the Uncharted series, and was released in November 2007 for PlayStation 3. 

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is an action-adventure where you, treasure hunter Nathan Drake, follow in the footsteps of your ancestor Sir Francis Drake in search of El Dorado. 

You run, jump, fight, shoot, and explore a rich world that unfolds a film-like narrative about Drake and the people he meets. Along the journey, you encounter rival treasure hunters, mercenaries, and creatures who guard El Dorado.

Combining action-adventure and platforming elements with a third-person perspective, the game follows Nathan Drake as he seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado, with the help of journalist Elena Fisher and mentor Victor Sullivan.

Play is a mix of COMBAT and PUZZLES, connected with climbing, exploring jungle and urban environments. During combat, you fight groups of enemies using a variety of weapons. For the puzzles, you use the notes of Sir Francis Drake to help solve environmental conundrums. Some of these puzzles require you to choose the correct path, while others require you to activate objects in a certain order.

Extensively marketed as a PlayStation exclusive, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune received generally favorable reviews, with MANY CRITICS CITING its technical achievements, voice acting, characters, story, musical score, attention to detail and its high production values, Similar to that of summer blockbuster FILMS. Some were critical of the graphical issues, length, vehicle sections, and marked difficulty. 

While there are many games that offer a similar experience, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, a PlayStation 3 launch game, offers DEEPER CHARACTERIZATION and more convincing acting. 

In this first game, and on into the series, players discover a fractured hero in Drake -- wanting to do the right thing but at the same time obsessed with getting the treasure (rather than the girl- ELENA).

The game went on to sell one MILLION COPIES after its first 10 weeks of release, and helped propel Naughty Dog to the forefront as a video game developer. It was followed by sequels titled:
